The images on this and other pages are taken from a collection of stamps issued in Belarus in 1996 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster.

This is Tanya from Belarus wearing the new spectacles she was prescribed.
Her eyes were examined and were found so bad that the Optician supplied two free pairs of spectacles to take home to Belarus.
The children also receive badly needed free dental treatment
